Dots – 2012

DOTS- 2012 at the Designmuseum Denmark Copenhagen . The 6 lighting panels are decorated with cone shaped dots. Also incorporated in this exhibition is soundscapes by composer Nigel Goulding and chairs designed by Jakob Berg and produced by Schou Andersen furniture factory.

Dorte Østergaard has for some years experimented with drilling and milling patterns on thick acrylic panels. Working with transparent materials is a new way of expression for her and combined with the printing technique it is being taken to new heights for each new exhibition. Dorte Østergaard has been using transparent materials for huge lighted pillars, unique lamps, the ceilings as well as for the lighting panel DOTS, all extremely suited for decorations in public buildings as well as church rooms.
